For those of you who are long-time fans of myself and the show I do on YouTube, welcome! I’m glad you followed me here and I hope you enjoy this content. For those of you who are new, let me introduce myself. My name is Ryan Howard. I’m a gamer with old-school and simulationist inclinations, a proud Christian and Southerner, and a distant relative of pulp fantasy legend Robert E. Howard. I also host a show on YouTube called Rollin’ Bones with Ryan Howard where I discuss RPGs and interview creators within the industry.
Over on Twitter, I’ve gotten a bit of a following posting threads about my thoughts on roleplaying games. I’ve enjoyed posting on Twitter, but I think migrating those threads over here will make them easier to read and come back to. I’m hoping that I can keep and continue growing my audience using Substack to host my articles while sharing them on Twitter. I have no idea if this will work, but I think it’ll make for a better reading experience. Worst case scenario, I write my threads and then archive them here.
